Relationship Deal Breakers Part 1

When you date somebody you g et to know their positive side because they tend to put their best foot forward.  However as the bond intensifies they will let you in little by little.  Hopefully your significant other is everything you thought they may be.  It's best not to focus all of your energy on what the negative qualities of your partner might be.  Though it is wise to keep a mental check on certain qualities or lifestyle choices they may possess that are definite relationship deal breakers.

You might catch your partner in a small lie and think nothing of it.  Something insignificant, like if they tell you about someone that they knew throughout high school but didn't befriend them until afterwards for whatever circumstance.  Later they tell you a story about a party during sophomore year that they went to together.  This falsehood may sound trivial but it could be a sign that they are compulsive liars.  Compulsive lying is a bad habit that will eventually make you obsess over what they might be keeping from you. Sometimes people feel the need to lie even if it isn't for the purpose of hiding something.  It could have been a misunderstandin g so there isn't any reason to jump to conclusions.  Without any anger in your voice make them aware that you caught onto their indiscretion and allow them to explain themselves.  Let it go this time but keep an eye on this behavior.

Of course a liar seems to be even worse since it means that your partner is undoubtedly hiding something from you.  If they say that they are pulling an all-nighter at the office but later you find that they were hanging out with some buddies then you have to wonder why they are trying to be so sneaky.  It is safe to assume in this case, since they were doing something harmless, that you are having trust issues, but nevertheless once a liar always a liar.
